You may qualify if:
- Your child is under 17
- Your child lives with you most of the year
- You claim your child on your taxes
- Your income meets the rules

Child and Dependent Care Credit (CDCC)
This credit helps families who pay for child care. It applies while you work or look for work.
You may qualify if:
- Your child is under 13
- You paid for care so you could work
This credit can cover part of your care costs. The amount depends on your income.
Earned Income Tax Credit
This credit helps working families with lower incomes.
You may qualify if:
- You work and earn income
- You meet income rules
- You have a Social Security number
The amount depends on how many children you have. Some refunds are sent later in the year.
Child Care Subsidy Programs
Some families qualify for help from state or local programs. These programs help pay part of your tuition.
